Requests for Mass intentions are gladly accepted at St. Catherine of Siena Church for your living or deceased loved ones and friends. 

Mass intention requests can be submitted by mail to the parish office or by stopping by the parish office during business hours.

The practice of requesting a Mass to be offered for loved ones, living and deceased, is a beautiful part of our Catholic tradition. To provide as many parishioners as possible an opportunity to have a Mass said for their loved ones, here are the guidelines:

  • We can accept only one intention per Mass.
  • Each Mass is said for one person, spouse, or family.
  • A Mass intention can be scheduled no more than one calendar year in advance
  • Requests will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis in the order in which the request is received at the Parish Office.

An offering of $10.00 for each Mass is the suggested donation for each Mass requested.

Altar Flowers for Mass

In memory of, or in honor of, a loved one.

All flower arrangements are ordered in advance through St. Catherine of Siena Parish Office.

Flowers can be requested for these locations.

Church:

  • 1 medium arrangement at the center of the Eucharistic Altar ($50)
  • 2 small arrangements next to the Blessed Sacrament ($50 at $25 each)
  • 1 large arrangement in front of the Eucharistic altar ($75 - 100)
  • 1 large arrangement on Mary's altar or St. Joseph's altar ($75 - 100)

Chapel:

  • 1 medium arrangement at the center of the Eucharistic Altar ($50)
  • 2 small arrangements on either side of the Eucharistic Altar ($50 at $25 each)
  • 1 small arrangement on Mary's altar ($25)
  • 1 large arrangement on Mary's altar or St. Joseph's altar ($75 - 100)

What is the process?

Flower requests must be made at least 2 months before the requested date to allow for preparation time and for placing the intention in the bulletin. Depending on the request, additional time may be needed.

Seasonal flowers will be used unless specific types of flowers/colors are requested. There will be some weekends when the flower color is dictated by the celebration. Requests for flowers will not be taken during the season of Lent.

The flowers will remain in the church for one week beginning with the Saturday vigil Mass.

Flower intentions published in the bulletin will identify the loved one and who made the donation.
